A different look with birthdays and ‘life cycles’ !

Research into the birthdays of grandparents, parents, children as well as their grandchildren shows unexpected links between family members that stand above pure chance and statistics.

This research concerned the study of long-term life cycles (such as the 7 years cycles). In an investigation over 250 birthdays of children together with the birthdays of their parents and grandparents was shown that family members with a multitude of 3.2 years between their respectively birthdays had striking resemblance’s on a deeper level.

The experimental research done concerns the study of long term life cycles (such as the 7 years cycles). In this research over some 250 birthdays of children together with their parents-grandparents birthdays was shown that family members with a multitude of 3.2 years between their respectively birthdays had striking resemblance’s on a deeper level.

Some kind of ‘soul quality’ became observable, guiding at the same time to a sort of ‘Karma traces’ and emotional traumas. It clarified also such simple things as deep sympathy, bond and recognition and it was better understood why certain family members in different generations had a positive or conflicting attitude towards each other. Not with everybody but only with particular members. And this was seen in a significantly higher rate than could be expected by scientific statistics alone.

Multitudes of 3.2 years life cycles and Rudolf Steiner.

More detailed research about the so called ‘7 years life cycles’ of Rudolf Steiner, (u.o. used in biographic work), has shown that this 7 y. cycle consists in reality of two smaller ones of 3.2 years to be precise, and if you multiply it with 2, you become 6.4 years or about 7 years (the 3.2 years cycle corresponds on average with 3 years, 2 month’s and 11 days or 1168 days).

Now, to proceed further in understanding the basics of these phenomena, it is really necessary to get first some ‘technical’ explanations, afterwards followed with some striking real life examples. So, please take your time to read through this mind provoking new research.

What is a 3.2 years life cycle?

For the proper investigation of all this new ground we need a special tool under the form of a combination of calendars. Suppose we make a calendar made on measure with all the years from 1885 till 2013, simply in a long column. In so doing we get a very long ribbon of 128 years.

Let’s further suppose that we roll this ribbon on a cylinder so that we keep every time 3.2 years between the adjacent parts (see Fig. 1 where the year ’01 is just at the point of getting ‘rolled up’).

Now, suppose that we than cut this cylinder neatly through from point A to point B, so we get a sheet of paper with adjacent rows of 3.2 years (see Fig.2 as an example with a reduced number of years).

In so doing, we have created a Life Cycles Matrix ® Diagram (more technical explanation about this later) and we see on the example in Fig. 2 that Jul. ‘86 (C) is adjacent to Sept. '89 (D), Nov.’92 (E), Feb. ’96 (F), May ’99 (G) and July ’02 (H) and form a straight line or a so called 'life line'.

How to use this Life Cycles Matrix ® Diagram ?

The system of the Life Cycles Matrix ® Diagram works as follows: suppose someone is born at July 1, ’86 (at C), than we draw a straight horizontal line starting at his birthday (C) over the whole diagram to the right (C-H) and we call this life line the personal and specific ‘birth line’ of the person. In living on his life after his birthday, he will cross again this ‘birth line’ 3.2 years later at Sept. ’89 (D), after 6.4 years again at Nov. 92 (E), anew after 9.6 years at Feb. ‘96 etc…

This birth line is a very peculiar and personal line in the whole diagram as this represents the place or connection of his fundamental sort of ‘cosmic position’. Each time a person crosses his birth line, he gets in some way ‘reborn’ again, meaning that he will experience something rather new, active, creative in his life such as a new job, a move to another address, a fundamental adaptation to a new situation etc… A person is around those crossings of his birth line also in a heightened mental and emotional activation u.o. the reason for a tendency to stop relationships or jobs around this line (see ‘future research’ topics on these subjects on this site).

People that are born on the same birth line have a tendency to be of the same kind of ‘soul energy’, even if their actual birthday differs with a multitude of 3.2 years (Example 19.2 years). Connections across his line represent the same fundamental attitude to the cosmos, can be considered in some way having some kind of a ‘brotherhood alignment' or ‘soul connection'. Research into 250 birthdays of children and their parents and grandparents.

In the therapeutic fieldwork with the diagram in use was observed that children showed a tendency to ‘seek’ the birth line of one of their parents. In more cases than pure luck would suggest, a child ‘landed’ very near the birth line of one of the parents ! As if it was in some way ‘targeting’ this line ! Following this remarkable fact, a research was done over 250 birthdays of children and their parents. From statistical calculations, we could expect a 20% ‘hitrate’ as being just pure luck. But a staggering 34.4 % result came out = almost doubling the ‘connection rate’ or ‘hit rate’.

‘Hit measurement’:

We talk about a ‘hit’ when a child’s birthday comes within + or – 2 months of the parents birth line. Statistically, a 20% is pure chance. Jeroen’s family in example (A) scores a remarkable hitrate of 3/5 = 60%, where the father had ‘the most influence'!

The actual hitrate hovers stable around 34% (see also the '250 Birthdays Research Report).. This means that the tendency for a child to get born very close to the birth line of one parent is a factor 1.7 (34/20) or 70% better than the expected average. This means very clearly that some hidden energy, a matrix or bias is at work, unknown to modern science but nevertheless very true !

The father of Jeroen was born on Nov. 11, ’46 and the mother on June 13, ’47. His sister Karen at Dec. 28, ’70, sister Ellen at Oct.23, ’72, Jeroen himself at Sept. 24. ’75. The twins Eefje and Maarten were born on Dec.28, ’78.

Notice on the above diagram (shortened for reasons of space) that Karen is ‘way off target’, Ellen lands ‘in-between’ (but only 3 months from her mother’s birth line), Jeroen places a ‘hit’ on his father’s birth line and the twins do the same. The father has the 'highest influence'.

In an interview with Jeroen, the following was confirmed:
1) Jeroen and his brother Maarten (= same birth line) had a lot of quarrels about everything in early youth (8-13 y.) but developed similar interests (= 'soul quality') in nature, scouts, quietness, introvert... over the later youth (13-17 y.), building a new understanding. The early quarrels stem from being 'to close' (adjacent 3.2 y. cycles - Jeroen 'vertical' and Maarten 'horizontal' cycle charcter).

2) Ellen, who 'landed in-between' the father and the mother acted as a real mediator in the divorce of the couple at a later age (with mutual agreement without lawyers !). Although we don't consider this any hit it's obvious that her 'intermediary' act shows a striking 'resemblance' with her birth line neat inbetween her parents one.

3) Karen is placed on the 'opposite 1/2 line' with Jeroen. They had always a very good, fluent understanding between each other. As they are opposite but differ in gender, this is expected.

4) On long term, it's interesting to see the further development of the twins Maarten and Eefje, now in their twenties, and their interrelation. As they have a different gender on the same birth line, this should be close and good concerning deep 'soul' quality but their ego will most probably quarrel easily.

A practical example of a family over 5 generations with Julia (B):

In this remarkable example over 5 generations (almost a century), a striking alignment occurs between the grandmother, the mother, Julia and Julia’s granddaughter. So, in these 5 generations, 4 members align themselves in almost one straight line ! (from 1902 till 1998 – the diagram of 5 pages is drastically cut and shortened to save space !)

In my psychotherapeutic practice, Julia came to me at the age of 46 with a very traumatic situation with her mother, existing since her early childhood. At the other hand, she had always experienced a lot of support and love from her grandmother. However, at the age of 22, she lost this grandmother who died in May ’75, without giving Julia the ability to say goodbye. This death occurred near her own birth line = a higher sensitivity for sudden, traumatic occurrences. Moreover, her father died in Oct. 96 (on her opposite ½ line) and she came in therapy in total disarray in the fall of ’99 (one cycle of 3.2 years after the death of her father).

In several regressions, the pain of the childhood started to dissolve, coupled with actual meetings and fruitful confrontations with her mother. In this way she regained a completely new way of communications and understanding with her mother after 40 years ! She has as well a very deep bond with her grand-child who was born in Dec. ’97 and ‘hits’ again the main 'womans birth line' over a century !

The use of the Life Cycle Matrix ® Diagram was very useful in uncovering the hidden energy links between 5 generations and gave an extra dimension and guidance to the therapeutic work.

This method is useful in the in-depth study of life dynamics that are often hidden for the generally overlooking eye. It goes beyond the normal "Air, Water etc..." typology or introvert-extravert behaviour. This method handles and enlightens deep based life energy and 'soul quality', expressed in few but fundamental basic layers in the character. It is very useful in therapeutic biographic work and all general therapeutic and psychological applications.
